ANNE TSITRONE   Lyric Soprano

Lyric soprano, Anne Tsitrone studied singing at the conservatories of Sète, Montpellier, and Trinity College of Music in London, where she graduated with honors in 2006. During 2007-08 she was a semi-finalist at the Concours International de Chant  in Clermont-Ferrand, a semi-finalist in the International Competition in Marmande in both opera and French song and a finalist in the National Contest of Beziers. She was a laureate  of the International Opera Marseille.  She was also "guest singer" at the Opera Studio Nederland in Amsterdam in 2008.

In concert, Anne has recently sung Messiaen at the Festival of the Abbey of Valmagne, the  second soprano in the Mozart Mass in C Minor with the Symphony Orchestra of  Rhone-Alps . She appeared recently in the Tragedy of Salome with Orchestra National de Montpellier.

On stage, her recent  parts include the title role in the opera Cendrillon by Pauline Viardot at the Opera Festival at the Village, Antonia in The Tales  of Hoffmann at Pézenas Enchantée,  a spinner in the contemporary opera Bistanclac!  for the National Theatre of Sète. In the near future she will sing  Berta in Barber of Seville with the Orchestra M'Sinfonia.

Nicholas and Daphne heard her sing following a master-class in the Pézanas Enchantée  programme and were struck by the maturity of her singing and the fluidity of her tone, without mannerism or affectation. Anne lives in Montpellier and we were delighted to be able to.  bring young local talent to sing for us in Fontès, surely a Star of Tomorrow, for you, Today
